AKERU MultiMedia, founded and directed by Queen Mother Imakhu, has produced cultural, educational, and motivational programs, workshops, and literature since 2004. "Enlightenment through Education."

Through AKERU, Imakhu has the distinction of being the first Black woman to create and run her own 24/7 Black Consciousness radio station, AKERU NuAfrakan Network. Founder/director of UHEMU Black and Brown Storytellers, original co-founder of Newark Latino Film Festival, founder of Newark Latino Artist Collective, Greater Essex LatinX Art & Film Fest, and ASHE Cultural Arts. Her live video events included the popular weekly "Transformation Tag Team." She has produced syndicated podcasts, "ASHE!", "Nubia Goddess Rising" and "Renegade Wise Woman," and live performance stage events including, "Cultures Across the City," and Newark Latino Fashion Show. Her "Reclaim Your Throne" self-empowerment events have brought motivational and inspirational speakers to the public. Queen Mother's newest organization, "Blacknificently LatinX," honors and explores Afro-Latinx culture and spirituality. "The Wisdom Keepers" documentary series is in production.

AKERU MultiMedia has published Queen Mother's digital content, including her art, graphic designs, books, music, cultural/spiritual lectures, and unique oracle decks.

AKERU has also served as an artist business consultation and resource service.
